Don’t want the light?

Even though this commercial is about Monday mornings, it relates well to the beginning of 1 John that we’ve been studying lately.  We dread the light because it exposes our sin, and we’d rather have a longer weekend living life our way!  But John talks of “walking in the light” as acknowledging and repenting of our sin.  Without this, we can’t have fellowship with others and with Jesus because we’re lying to ourselves.

But with the light, we’re free!  We’re not perfect, we still sin, but Christ will cleanse us!

Eph 5:13
‘But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says,
“Awake, O sleeper,
   and arise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you.”‘
